Choosing line
Choosing line
Choosing best line from selection of line sometimes becomes a headache. The best way to look at it is to value the level of ‘end result’ satisfaction. We may confuse if judge it from popular move at the beginning of line. End result’s satisfaction should reflect the style of your play. If you feel comfortable with result, follow it and stick with the line of play.
All the events are not critical rather than accepting the end result of the consequence. End result satisfies only after the force even take into consideration. We need to accumulate the entire force event before deal with the end result.
So now, main course event is not important ,but how well we can dealt with the result is more important. Don’t play the line which doesn’t suit you style of play which you are not comfortable to face. get the feeling and play better than your opponent.
Resourceful
Chess is Unique
Same norm but with different approached. Winning chess for me is about resourcefulness move {combination of both initiatives and ‘harmonic reply/defense’ } with full of concentration. Concentration begins from looking entire board for unexpected lines and the use of ‘fresh eye’.
To be resourceful, never stop thinking although there is road block ---- look it from different approach then continue the plan. Being motivated to play on ‘elastic position’ rather than simple position. Take charge from imbalance position.
Harmonic defense is more to believing that every problem should have solution but still maintaining the initiative or elastic position. The art of maintaining such position will make your move resourceful and energetic {tenacity of optimistic}.

Follow Your Instincts

"The things we usually think of as advantages- having more time to think and analyze, having more information at our disposal-can short-circuit what matters even more:our intuition."-Kasparov
"A well developed intuition let me know when i have reached a critical juncture that requires more time and special attention" - Kasparov
We should working to become an universal player -someone who can defend as well as attack and is at home in any type of position. In order to be that way, we must removed all blocking mind in each move we face. We need to be open minded. Seized all the opportunities and leave to our intuition to handle it.
As in our life, be wild and focused on what you love to do. Have you make big sacrifice in your life just to make sure you are inline with your own happiness?. Let the life flows freely and live with no fear. Improved your abilities and developed it as hard as you can and live with it. Everyone has it own uniqueness and you need to believe your instincts.
Our main objective is to provide all conditions that suit to our mental perception as it would enhances the way we approach in this world. So start having more information to setup ideal mental perception. Be a wild thinker but at the same time use your logical sense / religious sense as a final guidance. Lastly be optimistic.

Chess Knowledge

In math, every chess pieces has it own value ; example rook equal to 5 point, pawn =one point and etc, but the distinctive value of these pieces were depend on the certain position on the board. The understanding of the pieces value is so important as it will broaden up your vision to outplay your opponent. How to improve our evaluation of the position on the board?
A good player of chess would know which position is better only at a glance and no need to do deeper evaluation of the position. They know from the look only. You should try by yourself to simulate every early middle game and make your own assumption of who's position is better; black or white. From the evaluation of the position ; you should trace which pieces is strong , which is bad, the hole , strong square, weak square and so forth. Train yourself to evaluate into details of position' characteristic as much as you can until you can have a picture of winning position that you want in your game.
Don't we know if repetition occur in one's move, the value of the position doesn't same again? why did it happen? Of course it is because of 'time' factor. My intention to bring out time factor is , you need to be brave to manipulate all the opportunity in order to make the best move. I would say that you keep maintain your tempo and complicate the position to bring advantage on time to your game. This is crucial when we are already at 3/4 of the battle.
Last is pawn structure; how well it effect the whole value of the position. Don't move your pawn unnecessarily as it can't be mend again. Make sure the movement of the pawn synchronize with your major pieces.
That is why in my previous article , i urged all of you do not neglect study on position understanding. There are a lot book about it. As a conclusion, with better understanding of the position, you will always have the position that you like on board.

Your Move
Test your imagination of next move played by opponent, is it the position is the position you like ? I prefer imagination than calculation. You must know how the position can effect your thinking. some of the position make you blur , and some position make your nerve boost up your analytical thinking to be at best.
The more you play , the more you gain the confident. Be pleasant with your move.
Check out this mentality
1) Free up your mind from fear, blur and pressure.
2) Show up uniqueness.
3) Maintain the prestige.
4) Rational and reasonable ( Control method)
Give your mind the best condition to build up the greatest potential of creativeness.

No Compromise
The ability to see where and when critical move need to be decided was some of the skills that we required in chess. Combination player would seem to ignore every treating move made by opponent while try to finished it off immediately; this nature of thinking always prominent to a combination player including me. lately i realized that to have solid position is a must and the feeling not to give opponent clear counter on the game is also essential.
Although there are 'always a way' in chess quote but don't give any compromise to opponent to have a pleasant way out; freer game.
Familiar with the pattern of solid position and be optimistic about the move would make your combination player; but to be great combination player you should be cautious and good intuitive thinking.
Max Euwe apply the rule of ' Every move is correct ' . Play with rude.
Chess Culture
To love chess, we need to enjoy the game no matter you win or loose. Winning is not all about, it is something to prove to yourself, whether you have your own maxim in thinking or not. You need to work hard and have competitive attitude to be a champion in tournament. If we are only focused on winning in tournament , then i think we would never have bright chess culture in chess. Suppose we look chess as cure to our brain and a special treatment to stress. Now look at this perspective, it seem more fun and everyone will attract to it and no wonder if this game would be favorite to every family in the future.
Another step to improve chess culture is to make a continuous chess league in every state. They league should be monitor and control by MCF personnel itself to record the result. It would be long tournament which every week only one game initiated. The main purpose is to make every chess club being active.
One good improvement i see in Malaysian's chess culture now is that we start having tournament base national rating. This will encouraged motivated player to improve their skill and thinking ability as for their own limitation. Thanks to the organizer.
Chess is art. Art will bring passion. Passion give power.
Thanks and enjoy your game. Enjoy your mistake.

Chess Routine
To be good in chess you need to collect all series of attacking pattern played by GM and understand it. To have good understanding how it can achieve good result in your game is just a wonderful experienced.
So start having your personal notes that you can practice it as your chess routine snack.
Attacking pattern with your favorite pawn structure are best to start with.
Diversion of Chess
i am very pity for some of us who just being expert in chess only and not try to discover the art or essence of chess to the real world ; for our own goods. Studying chess technique and keep maintaining the good move in the opening are essential for chess player but to study how the you develop the intuitionist thinking during play chess is another thing;.. So far what you have gain from chess to your own life? do you feel more brave to take some action or decision because you seem to be 'combination'al player in chess? or Do you see yourself as a good planner in your life because you were born as a positional player in chess? or you fell nothing as if it's just a game..
Let's figure out what you can get from playing chess? Does it effect you a lot in real world? ok..i admit i am inspire by the book of 'How Life Imitates Chess ' by Gary Kasparov so i came to questioning about this matter, but believe me there are a lot more benefit if you can figure out it by yourself and you no need anymore to be good in chess only; to be good on chessboard only. 64 squares reflect more than its squares in your life.
Playing chess requires great feeling involves..you don't just played move by move but you are like conducting an orchestra to form magistic beautiful music..that's is the essence. Discovere how to get those feeling and feel it. i use to have some kind of mental state before a game and beleive me those mental state always change game after game. I don't rely on same mental states because our feeling always change and also environment change. What best to you to have before game is the state of felling that can help your mental ability goes beyond it's abilities. the abilities itself differs from everyone else. Aware and admit you limitation and strive only for best are the keys to keep maintain your score on every tournament.
Coop your best in chess and life and try to harmonize it. Beleive on this word in chess ' when there is problem , there are always a way to overcome it'.
I don't take chess as total addiction..i take it as my pieces to success in life. So spend a little time to evaluate your streght in chess, your thinking method , your good intuitional in chess and figure it out how it can benefit you in real life..
Thanks. It's good to be back again.

The Power of Visualization
Einstein said that all of his most important and productive thinking was done by “combinatory play” with “images” in his mind. Einstein used images, visual patterns and associations to discover more about the world around him.
Einstein believed that the spirit of learning and creative thought were lost in strict rote learning. Instead, he turned to his own imagination and visualization.
Visualization is an incredibly powerful tool in solving problems. Often times much more powerful that simply using words or numbers.
Visual thinking is done in the right side of the brain, presenting new problem solving and big-picture thinking.
God didn’t give us formal instruction manuals for our brain. Therefore, we must explore the power of thought on our own.
1. The first step is to expand your consciousness as well as your perspectives.
The genius mind will look at a problem from many different perspectives. We are literally able to place ourselves completely in someone else’s shoes in order to experience a new way of looking at things. By doing this, we expand our knowledge and consciousness of the perspectives around them.
Look at problems from a variety of different perspectives. Most people only rely on their own perspective, and therefore always have a very narrow view of the world.
Leonardo da Vinci believed that, to gain knowledge about the form of a problem, you must begin by learning how to restructure it in many different ways. He believed that the first way you look at a problem is entirely too biased. You are only seeing the problem from one perspective: yours.
You can find new solutions to the problem by looking at it from a variety of different perspectives. According to Einstein, “You cannot solve a problem with the same type of
thinking that is creating it.”
Einstein insisted that the secret of his genius was his ability to look at problems in a childlike, imaginative way.
To Quote Kasparov
" To play creatively without being afraid of taking chances and to posses a polished chess style in no way releases you from the need for persistent hard work. On the contrary, you must constantly perfect your playing, deepen and widen your opening repertoire, refine your techniques, and analyse complicated endgames. Chess, after all, is not just an accumulation of acquired knowledge; chess is dynamic, and apparently definitive conclusion may in actual fact be just an interim one. The truth has to be proved every time. Even my own annotations to games are not unshakeable as far as i am concerned. I like to keep updating them, making them more precise: many ideas come to be reaccessed, including, of course, one’s own ideas. I willingly go over my own mistakes again and analyse them "
